Saneko
Saneko are part of the Ga Tribe of Southern Ghana, with their roots in the fishing communities of Jamestown and Chokor.
The inspiration for their music comes mostly from their local folk songs, some of which have been passed down through the generations and reflect images of the past and present, which along with the music are breathtakingly haunting and quite beautiful.
The group plays a wide variety of Ghana's traditional drums.
For example; Kpanlogos, Atumpans and the massive Fromtomfrom talking drums, but also incorporating some of West Africa's other well known drums, such as, the bass Djoun Djouns and the very popular Djembes.
All of these are accompanied by the harmonious voices of the musicians and. the evocative melodies of the flutes.

Asabre has been playing drums since the age of six and, is well known in Ghana for his energetic skills of "Playing around eight drums at a time". Now the leader of Saneko, Asabre was forma1ly; leader of kakatsitsi Cultural Troupe, member of the Pan African Orchestra
At the age of eight he toured with the International artist Mick Fleetwood.
of Fleetwood Mac with Ebaahi Sounds.
He also recorded an a1bum with the band called "The Visitor" in 1981
Saneko are suitable to perform for all kinds of occasion's events, etc.
The group is experienced in teaching both adults and. children and can to perform workshops in music or dance. Schools, colleges, universities or the general pubic.
