Love Isaacs
Born in Ghana-West Africa. grew up in a community of highlife music and its rhythms, Love Isaacs dedicated himself since the age of 10 to playing drums/singing in the school groups and pop chain events. At the age of 13 he strarted performing with some of the Ghanaian top groups, including Beach Scorpions, Yamoah's band, Black Beats, Barbecue, Waza Africo and Drew Chase Delegations.
Love left Ghana for Britain to continue his musical career and also to study studio engineering, it was there that he met and worked with artistes such as Roachford, John Termis and Michael Brown , and also some of the top African Bands based in Britain. He has to-date released 7 albums 3 singles and has toured, performing excellent shows in many parts of the UK and abroad.
Love Isaacs created his band "MAHA" in 1992, the name "MAHA" is a Ga (a Ghanaian language) word which has connoctations of giving enjoyment. His aim is to preserve and to renew traditional Highlife music. By using its inherent roots, he emphasises the heart of Ghanaian Hilife music in the rhythm.
Having done much reasearch, he came up with a new beat called "Millenium highlife" which is set to revolutionise the hilife scene. The scale of his achievements is breath taking, his 8 piece band features a stunning amount of talent and explosion of beautiful sounds straight out of Africa.
