LAMIN AND AFRICAN
ROOTS
are a multi-cultural 8-piece band, made up of professional musicians.
They combine a variety of influences, to produce an exiting and uplifting African Reggae sound- where a solid beat is spiced up with high-energy percussion interludes. Infectious melodies and conscious lyrics are enforced through pulsing bass lines, creating a heady cocktail of dance rhythms.
Lamin and African Roots have been together for 4 years, during which time they have played regularly, at venues in and around UK, as well as a number of places nation-wide, including the World Music Stage at Glastonbury, The band can be booked for any event. Pubs, clubs, festivals, parties, etc. anywhere and at any time of year. (They also available for session work) drumming, guitar, vocals & percussion.
