Born in Bengal, in the district of Comilla before the partition of India, Krishna Lodh comes from a family of musicians and music lovers. His father Jatindra Mohan Lodh, was one of the most highly respected vocal musicians of the district. In his boyhood Krishna had vocal music lessons along with lessons on the tabla from the master, Radhabinod Natta, who was music teacher to the Lodh family. Inspired by this master, Krishna took up the sitar as his main musical instrument and practiced rigorously for seven years under his guidance. Krishna is a professionally qualified Engineer. However, his love of sitar music and Indian philosophy was deeply rooted in his soul and later on he gave up the engineering profession to devote more time for music and yoga.

  		CELEBRATE IN STYLE. Krishna has performed in various parts of Germany, touring with the Tagore Institute of Bonn. His latest performance was in Bremen. Until recently Krishna was guided by the great Ajoy Sinha Roy, who spent his life with the legendary musician Baba Alauddin Khan of Comilla, the teacher of pandit Ravi Shanker . Krishna is known to play Indian classical music in the style he inherited from his birthplace, Bengal, which has also given us legendary musicians such as Ustad Alauddin Khan and Ali Akbar Khan. He holds music workshops and is involved in music concerts in various counties in England. In the past he played at the reception of Diana, the Princess of Wales, for the opening ceremony of the Albert Hall For the best classical Indian music and dance.
